Dr. Will McClintock is a Senior Fellow with the National Center for Ecological Analysis andSynthesis (NCEAS) at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCSB). His lab develops SeaSketch, a web-based tool for collaborative and science-based Marine Spatial Planning(MSP) and Marine Protected Areas (MPA) design. Over the last 20+ years, Will has been embedded in dozens of MSP and MPA planning initiatives including Barbuda, Montserrat, Curaçao, US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Galapagos, and the Cook Islands. Currently a member of the Blue Prosperity Coalition, he is implementing SeaSketch for MSP inBermuda, Açores, Fiji, Samoa, The Maldives, and Federated States of Micronesia. A new, free and open source version of SeaSketch will be launched in late 2022.
